We may have opened our doors in 2011, but our legacy extends much farther back than that. Everything Independent Volkswagen and Audi Services has become is thanks to our founder. My father Dannie Caffarel first started at a Volkswagen dealership in 1969. From there it has been a love affair with the brand and its sister company Audi, and with restoring the original function and fantastic design inherent in these cars. Between an entrepreneurial spirit and a natural affinity for working with his hands, my dad has always been destined to own a VW/Audi repair shop. The most important legacy he left at Independent Volkswagen and Audi however, is our desire to care for people. We like fixing cars, but we know that you own them for a reason, and we want you to like them as much as we do! This is the real reason behind our stellar reviews, and why we have so many return customers. It all boils down to one of Dannie’s favorite truisms: “People don’t care what you know, until they know you care.”

Taking over for my dad in 2022, it has been my passion to take and carry that torch. My firm belief is that a repair shop can have happy employees AND happy customers, and this is the goal I strive for every day. Since the day I took over, I have been carefully building my dream team of technicians. It has taken time, but one by one, the positions have gotten filled by the right people.

 My longest standing employee, James, started as our lube technician. From the beginning his intelligence and keen eye made him a very valuable asset for the shop and our clients. His inspections have always been top notch, and spending time under high caliber technicians turned him into something far more than just a maintenance tech. Now he is a full time repair technician that impresses more and more every day. He goes above and beyond of his own volition consistently, making him a very valuable part of our team. 

Our resident guru, factory trained Volkswagen master technician and Foreman, Michael, is my right hand. He makes everything we do here possible, by directing repair, solving problems, and jumping in wherever necessary to get the job done, and done right. I trust him implicitly, as he has proven worthy of that trust time and time again. When I first started in this industry as a lowly lube technician at a VW dealer, he showed his quality to me. When I was in over my head, and no one would help me, he was there. Fast forward over a decade, I now have the privilege of working with him every day and seeing his continued excellence. 

The man with the hands, Andrew, is an absolute machine. His good nature and boisterous personality make him a pleasure to work with, but his extreme efficiency in removal and replacement of broken parts is a sight to be seen. He is our newest addition to our team, but brings balance to the shop that we definitely needed. I cannot wait to see how much more impressive he will become in the coming years!

Last there is Stuart, the guy I can rely on for just about anything. He is our maintenance technician, and is responsible for the careful digital inspections you will inevitably be looking at. His fantastic attitude and easy going personality have been one more part of making this shop a great place to work, and his willingness to help is what bridges the gap between us and getting the work done more often than not.
